I'm trying my hands on growing some peppers and I got curious what's everyone's favorite? And maybe the easiest one to grow as a a beginner?

I started with jalapeños in my backyard a few years ago. They’re easy to grow, well at least for me. And they produce a ton, and you can use them in everything from nachos to pickles. Perfect starter pepper in my opinion

Yeah, jalapeños. I tossed seeds from a couple I got from the green grocer and they took off like crazy. I still have three of those plants growing out again this year. Grew some Habaneros last year and they did ok, but the plants don't produce as many as the jalapeños. They did give me a usable amount when I wanted them.

If you can keep them alive for multiple years: rocoto, manzano, Ecuadorian Red Pepper for Hell.
Otherwise, Sport and Sugar Rush Stripey for pickling, and Indian PC-1 for cooking or red pepper flakes.
