Which hot peppers work best for cooking?

Got some jalapenos and cayennes growing well but I want to try something more versatile for cooking. What varieties do you use most in everyday dishes? Thanks everyone!

If you want something flexible, try growing serranos. I use them fresh in salsas and cooked into soups. They’ve got a kick but don’t overpower dishes. Glad to have you here, @faites_33!

have you tried Thai Chili? I have an Asian mom, so I cook and eat Asian dishes a lot. I usually use Thai chili pepper, it's spicy and delicious

@faites_33 if you like very spicy dishes, go for Habanero, it's great for making hot sauce or salsa. or go for Poblano if you want something mild

For a nice heat level without significant flavor, my go-to is the Indian PC1.
